boat stereo

The new Infinity by Harman Kappa KAPPRV515 all-in-one mechless waterproof faceplate stereo receiver from Prospec Electronics has all the incredible desired options expected from the renowned luxury brand. What sets it apart, however, is the ability to control RGB speakers and accessory LED colors from the unit, without mobile apps or an additional remote.

Whether matching the boat décor or mood, it’s easy to set the desired RGB color using the rotary encoder. The KAPPRV515 will control up to nine speakers and/or accessories with the optional MIL-LEDPWR module.

The KAPPRV515 is first and foremost a stereo receiver that will make audiophiles content. 50W x 4 @ 4 ohms and 2-ohm stability create impressive power, without the distortion and muddiness common with lesser units. Bass, mid and treble adjustments, and four zones—front, rear, sub and secondary—ensure a superior soundstage that matches the musical genre. The faceplate incorporates a 3.5″ color TFT screen.

The features of the KAPPRV515 continue to impress. It receives AM/FM/WB/RDS broadcasts, and is Sirius/XM-ready, displaying the station ID in color. With Bluetooth, USB and aux inputs, everyone can find a way to play their favorite music. With video input, it’s easy to view a bait or livewell, or use it when backing up with a separately purchased camera.

The USB input reads WMAs and MP3s, and plays tracks/displays artwork if an Apple® device is connected.

The 5-7/8″ W” x 4″ H x 1″ D faceplate uses a standard 3.5″ round cutout. With built-in NMEA 2000 protocol, networking is easy. It comes wired remote-ready. Complementing the new line of high-performance Kappa speakers, the Infinity by Harman KAPPRV515 stereo receiver costs $599.95.

3-1/2″ color screen

You’ll be able to see what’s song or station is playing on the KAPPRV515’s 3-1/2″ color LCD screen, but you can also connect a camera and see what’s going on behind your boat, or elsewhere. The water-resistant faceplate also features a rotary knob for easy control, plus easy-to-see buttons for important functions.

The start of a really cool system

The KAPPRV515 features three sets of preamp outputs (including sub outputs), so you’ll have plenty of options for adding amps to your system. With 4-zone control (front. rear, secondary, and subwoofer) and plenty of sound-shaping tools, you can get the sound you want where you want it. This rugged receiver works with wired remote controls (sold separately), so you and your passengers can control the entertainment from wherever you like.

You can also control your LED speakers and other LED lighting accessories through the faceplate, with the help of Infinity’s MIL-LEDPWR accessory box (coming soon).

Designed for the great outdoors

This digital media receiver packs a lot of features into a compact design that fits a 3-1/2″ round gauge opening. Infinity designed this marine-rated receiver with outdoor use in mind, so the weather-resistant, UV-stable face and controls will stand up to sun, salt and moisture when you’re out having fun.

Bluetooth note: Use of this receiver’s Bluetooth features will depend upon your phone’s Bluetooth capabilities.
